, Sleep, Sleep and then grab some more sleep
, Don't worry about the birthing plan, by all means write one, however do not think for one minute it will all go to that particular plan be prepared to be flexible, and if your birthing pool, candles and soothing music is thrown out of the window and its an emergency section then embrace all of that .Its what you receive in the end it doesn't mater how you got your little person as long as they are here with you that's all that matters .
, Don't buy expensive baby clothes firstly they grow out of them so quickly and secondly babies will puke just as much on a Harrods Babygro as they would on an Asda Babygro.
, Enjoy your Bump and your Boobs, believe me you will miss both in time.
, Look after yourself and eat properly before pregnancy, during and after you have had the baby, a healthy mummy is so important.
, Take the advice from your Mum, she has been there done it and got the T shirt, yes times have changed however people have been having babies since the year dot and its a well trodden path and sometimes mums do know best.
, Take lots of photos and videos especially of the “firsts” you can never get that time back.
, It was said to me a lot ” Enjoy every minute, before you know it they will be at University” and I would smile and under my breath probably said oh yes, but really its true, in the blink of an eye they are all Grown up. Dont wish the time away, Always remember one day you will do something which will be the last time, The last time you breast feed, the last time you put a nappy on, the last time you help them get in the car! Enjoy every second.
, Never I repeat Never worry about an untidy house, it somehow really doesnt matter
